Leja Jurišić in Teja Reba tem mejam merita temperaturo.
----
The Ljubljana audience has been acquainted with dancers and choreographers Leja Jurišić and Teja Reba in the past decade, however, they do boast a series of international experience. A few years ago, Leja Jurišić fascinated the public with her excellent solo R’z’R, while Teja Reba gained recognition with her performances in several Janez Janša’s projects. Both are excellent artists, researching dance at an intersection with performance art, interested in the body being stuck in the present moment rather than modern choreographic regimes.
The performance Between Us summarizes and develops a series of experience gained by the artists in their work during these past years, among others their remarkable reactivity to the given situation and a special talent for the customs fee for moderation at the border crossing between the audience and the show. The performance researches the diverse aspects of dance, body, intimate, work and public relations between two partakers faced with the certainty of an impermanent limit. Leja Jurišić and Teja Reba take the temperature of those limits.

Osnovna, težka in hkrati odrešilna vprašanja.
----
Mala Kline is an accomplished dance artist who gained her first experience already before she became of age. Of all the Slovenian choreographers and dancers, she is the one who would perhaps best reflect Žižek’s presumption that one is most inside of oneself by being most outside, given that by being divided between Ljubljana and the world, she practices this position with her "life and work" in a – as it sometimes seems – methodologically thorough and successful manner. At the moment, she is studying in Amsterdam, working in a post-graduate educational programme Das Arts.
Her choreographies in the past years touch upon the icons of popular culture and the Freudian field on the one hand, and dramaturgically tackle the poetics of nonsense, absurdism and semantic nets on the other in order to open the regions of meaning and sense that cannot be reached by the ordinary ways of denotation. Bliss springs out of some of the fundamental questions on art and the artist in a contemporary context, on the reasons for work and the purpose of art today. Basic, difficult and at the same time redemptive questions.

----
Director Sebastijan Horvat with his artistic team has in the past decade created a director’s opus which, with the suitable support of the system, could easily be compared to the most renowned European theatre directors. His passion for research and stage provocations was, however, bound to lead to the meeting with the dancers. Originating from a workshop where the dancers along with Horvat got infected by a will for common work, the meeting of minds at the Dance Theatre Ljubljana led to the performance in 2008.
Utopia 1 is an unusual stage event in which Horvat’s subtle mastering of diverse theatre situations, scenes, assignments and meanings intertwines into a some kind of stage reader of audience temperature. The viewer unites with other viewers into an audience and again distances himself into an explicitly individual position. The performance is at one time objectivised by the viewer to the brink of pornography, while at other times, the viewer is being objectivised by the performance. Sebastijan Horvat, Leja Jurišić, Irena Tomažin, Jana Menger, Sinja Ožbolt, Primož Bezjak and Grega Zorc perform all this from a starting point of whether utopia is possible.
